How can you get your home ready for an estate sale?
First and foremost, do not throw away anything (aside from obvious trash items). Many homeowners feel like they are helping, but ultimately may be throwing away something someone may buy! Every little penny helps.
The best way to prepare the home for an estate sale is to leave the home “as-is” except for moving out things that the family would like to keep. This includes photos, heirlooms, and paperwork. Do not donate or move things around before the sale. Part of our job is to do all the sorting and organizing for you!
